It’s my utmost honor to serve the Kannada Community as the President of Navika. Kannadigas in the US are at a significant milestone projecting their growth in academics, careers, finance and business. We all have seen unprecedented growth in the promotion of our language, literature, culture and gained momentum in media and communications industry through several movies and entertainments. Every Kannada association has dedicated their passion to promote the language and entertainment to the fullest extent bringing awareness and increasing identity of Kannadigas in various social networks. I’m truly excited to be part of this positive change and upbringing of Kannadigas, both within our community and beyond. My newly formed committee comprising of Kannada enthusiasts from cities all over America is my source of inspiration and I believe this will foster a sense of pride and unity among Kannadigas. The rich cultural heritage of Karnataka deserves to be celebrated and preserved, and I trust that you will support Navika in promoting our traditions. It is extremely critical for the upliftment of Kannada language as it will play a pivotal role in ensuring our growth and relevance in this contemporary society. It is important that we have collaborative efforts to create awareness about the beauty of Kannada literature, art and history. This is the right time to prepare Navika as a platform for fostering talent and creativity among Kannadigas of all ages. We need to prepare the children of Kannadigas through educational programs, that will contribute to learning history of Kannadigas by conducting tours of historical cities in Karnataka. In my role as a cultural ambassador, it is my wish to be instrumental in fostering connections between Kannadigas and other communities. While Navika has showcased the richness of Kannada traditions, we should aim to be a hub for promoting Kannada arts, including music, dance, drama and folklore.
With our initiative to reach global audience and connect with Kannadigas around the world, we have initiated to team up with RMKS (Rhein Main Kannada Sangha, EV) in Frankfurt, Germany and planned to celebrate the 7th Navikotsava event on July 6th, Saturday, 2024 at Salbau Gresheim convention center. We are also working on potential collaborations with Government of Karnataka to secure support of Kannada language and cultural preservation. I consider it my duty to support Kannada artists and artisands, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent. It is my passion and wish to inspire the younger generation to take pride in their Kannada roots and actively contribute to the community. We will also look into environmental initiatives that promote a green and sustainable Karnataka. With the rapid growth in technology in AI/ML, NLP and increased innovation, we need to promote the digital literacy in Kannada through Instagrams, Whatsapp, Tiktok and many other intelligent tools that can promote the increase of Kannada as a language among the younger generations. I’m looking forward to the upbringing of Kannada as a classical language and will contribute to its rightful place in the cultural landscape.

ನಾವಿಕ (ನಾವು ವಿಶ‍್ವ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು) ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಳಗದ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಒದಗಿರುವುದು ನನಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಗೌರವದ ವಿಚಾರ. ನಿಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಿರುವಂತೆ ಅಮೇರಿಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಗಳು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಅನೇಕ ವೃತ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಸಾಧನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಮುಂತಾದ ಅನೇಕ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ವಿಶ್ವದ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆ ಅಭೂತಪೂರ್ವವಾಗಿ ಬಿತ್ತರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಬಹಳ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘವು ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಸರಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ತಾವು ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಉನ್ನತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ನನಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹರ್ಷದಾಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

ನನ್ನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸೇವೆ ಗಯ್ಯಲು ಅಮೇರಿಕಾದ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ನಗರಗಳಿಂದ ಕಂಕಣಬದ್ಧ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರನ್ನು ಆಯ್ದು ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತೇಜನದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸವು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟು ಬೆಳೆಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಅಚಲ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆ ಆಚರಿಸುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಲವಾದ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡುತ್ತೀರಿ ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಇದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸರ್ವತೋಮುಖ ಏಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಕಾಲೀನ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತತೆಗೆ ಅತಿ ಅವಶ್ಯ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆಯನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸಲು ನಾವಿಕ ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವತ್ತ ಇದೊಂದು ಸದವಕಾಶ.  ನಮ್ಮ ಪೀಳಿಗೆ ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಎಲ್ಲ, ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಬೆಳೆಸುವುದು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಆದ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ-ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಓದಗಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ನಗರಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರು ಪ್ರಾಶಸ್ತ್ಯ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ನಾವಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡೇತರ ಸಮುದಾಯಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ರಾಯಭಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. 

ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ದಶಕದ ಮೇಲಾಗಿ ನಾವಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುತ್ತ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಸಂಗೀತ, ನೃತ್ಯ, ನಾಟಕ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾನಪದ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವದ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ. ಅದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸಭೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸಲು, ನಾವು ಜರ್ಮನಿಯ RMKS (ರೈನ್ ಮೇನ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ, EV) ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈಗೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇವರ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶನಿವಾರ, ಜುಲೈ 6, 2024 ರಂದು ಫ್ರಾಂಕ್‌ಫರ್ಟ್‌ನ Salbau Gresheim ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ7 ನೇ ನಾವಿಕೋತ್ಸವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. 

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಭಾವ್ಯ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಾವಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಕುಶಲಕರ್ಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವುದು, ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಭಾವಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬೇರುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಪಡಲು ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮುದಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಗುರಿ. ಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಸಿರು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತೇಜಿಸುವ ಪರಿಸರ ಉಪಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಇಂದಿನ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಲೇ Instagram, WhatsApp, TikTok ನಂತಹ ಸಾಧನಗಳು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಉಪಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿವೆ.  AI (Artificial Intelligence, ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತಿಕೆ), ML (Machine Learning, ಯಂತ್ರ ಕಲಿಕೆ), NLP (Natural Language Processing, ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಕರಣೆ) ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಆವಿಷ್ಕಾರಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂವಹನದ ಪರಿಧಿಯು ವಿಸ್ತಾರಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ಬರಬಹುದಾದಂತ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡದ ಏಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಾವು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. 

ಸಜೀವ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಬಳಕೆ, ಉಳಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಉತ್ಸಾಹದಿಂದ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾವಿಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಭೂದೃಶ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೇರು ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಎದುರು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೈಗೂಡಿಸಿ ಕನ್ನಡಾಂಬೆಯ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹಕಾರ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಇರಲಿ ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಸನಮ್ರ ವಿನಂತಿ.
